Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: upstate new york tap water
Grain: 9 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. 8 oz. Wheat malt
8 oz. American crystal 40L
1 lb. 8 oz. Belgian CaraVienne
Mash: 70% efficiency
60 minutes @ 150-152
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.049 6.5 gallons
1 tsp irish moss @ 15 minutes
Hops: 1.2 oz. Cascade (5.3% AA, 60 min.)
.6 oz. cascade (5.3% AA, 30 min.)
.6 oz. cascade (5.3% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. cascade (aroma)
Yeast: white labs wlp1056
used yeast started of 1/3 gallon. started 3 days prior. started ripping in a couple of hours
Log: primary fermenter 5 days @66
secondary 7 days @66
kegged to fridge
Carbonation: fridge is about 36 degrees. so did about 16 psi till it stopped taking.
Tasting: not yet.. still taking co2. alcohol will be a little high. used as much malt as an ipa or so, but it smells great and looks great.
