Atonement American Pale

Brewed on Yom Kippur (hence the name). Hadn't brewed a simple/basic
ale in a while, so I'm atoning for my errant ways with this one.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
18 HCU (~11 SRM)
Bitterness: 40 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: Bottled Artesian Spring Water
Grain: 1 lb. American 2-row
8 oz. American crystal 20L
8 oz. American crystal 90L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: 30 mins @ 150F
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.104 3.5 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. Light dry malt extract
1 lb. 8 oz. Honey (at 40 mins)
1 tsp Irish Moss
1/2 tsp yeast nutrient
Hops: 1 oz. Newport (11% AA, 60 min.)
0.5 oz. Amarillo (7% AA, 45 min.)
0.5 oz. Amarillo (7% AA, 30 min.)
0.5 oz. Amarillo (7% AA, 15 min.)
0.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: WLP001, from 2L starter
Log: Ferment at room temps (70-75F). Racked after 1 week, bottled after 1 week in 2ndary.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar at bottling
Tasting: Just bottled, but the samples were very smooth and crisp.
Will probably add an extra 1/2 oz of Newport, and an extra lb.
of LME next time. Remarkably clear right out of the fermenter!
