Single Malt American Ale

One beer, one malt! This is not "single malt" in the strictest sense, but Breiss 2-row will be used for every malt contribution. It will be the base malt and toasted to create the specialty malts (the optimal toasting times will be empirically determined).

Alcohol: 6.7% v/v (5.3% w/w)

Grain: 12 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American 2-row
4 oz. American 2-row
Mash: 70% efficiency
The base and toasted malts will be combined and decoction mashed at ~155°F to conversion.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.046 7.5 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: White Labs california ale yeast
Log: This beer will likely be brewed several times until perfected!
Carbonation: 2.6 volumes Cane Sugar: 4.50 oz. for 5 gallons @ 70°F
