Alcohol: 4.4% v/v (3.4% w/w)
Water: Burton's Water Salts
Grain: 8 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. Rice (raw)
Mash: 65% efficiency
Struck 4 gallons of 175° water with grist in sanitized 10 gallon cooler.
Stirred mash and maintained roughly 153° temparature for 90 minutes.
Lautered then sparged with 4 gallons of 174° water for about 30 minutes.
Boil: 65 minutes SG 1.037 6 gallons
Hops: .5 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 65 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (4.5% AA, 35 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 20 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (4.5% AA, 20 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: WyEast American Ale
Log: Brewed on my porch on 7/20/2000... a warm summer night in Boston.
Carbonation: 2.8 volumes Keg: 21.3 psi @ 50°F
