Good Life Pale Ale

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
12 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 33 IBU
OG: 1.062 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 6.7% v/v (5.3% w/w)
Water: Add 1 Teaaspoon Gypsum or use spring water.
Grain: 0.75 lb. Honey Malt
0.75 lb. American 2-row
0.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Bring grains to 154°. Steep 60 minutes.
Remove grains.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.114 3 gallons
4 lb. Light malt extract
3 lb. Extra Light malt extract (or dry)
12 oz. Orange Blossom Honey
Add 1 Teaspoon Irish Moss when 15 minutes
remain with boil.
Hops: 1.5 oz. Perle (7.9% AA, 60 min.)
0.5 oz. Perle (7.9% AA, 45 min.)
0.5 oz. Willamette (5.5% AA, 15 min.)
0.5 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056 (Chico) Yeast w/activator pack. Make sure to mix yeast with wort.
Log: Ferment @ 69°. Primary 6 days,
secondary 1 week.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar at bottling time.
