Beginning to Hop - RAF

This recipe was based on the "Three Floyds Dreadnought Clone" I
brewed back on 9/24/2005. The original recipe changed slightly cause
I wanted to experiment. This batch was also brewed by Tom N. Tom is
starting his brewing career as of now. Welcome bro!

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
7 HCU (~6 SRM)
Bitterness: 81 IBU
OG: 1.055 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Grain: 9 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. American crystal 20L
Mash: 75% efficiency
- Mashed at 165-170 for 60 minutes.
- Used approx 4 gallons of water.
- Did not stir the grains too much. Maybe 2-3 times during mashing.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.069 4 gallons
- Held steady boil temp to 212F.
- Added hops, added hops, added hops.
Hops: 1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: - Wyeast London 1968
Log: - Broke yeast smackpack approx 16 hours prior to pitching.
