Odd Grogs brew for the AHA conference keg brew contest.

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
23 HCU (~13 SRM)
Bitterness: 82 IBU
OG: 1.072 FG: 1.020
Alcohol: 6.7% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: 1/2 teaspoon gyspum in the mash water and in the sparge.
Grain: 6 lb. British pale
1 lb. American Vienna
1 lb. American victory
1 lb. American crystal 60L
Mash: 80% efficiency
2.5 gallons water to raise temp to 151 for 45 mins.
Add 1 gallon water to raise temp to 156 for 30 mins.
Mash out and sparge at 170 till 7 gallons are collected.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.051 7 gallons
2 lb. Telfords light dry malt extract
1 teaspoon Irish moss at 45 min.
Hops: .5 oz. Galena (13% AA, 90 min.)
.5 oz. Galena (13% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Galena (13% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Galena (13% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: Burlingame Station microbrewery yeast. Similar to Fullers ESB yeast.
Log: Primary one week.
Dry hop secondary with 1 oz cascade for 2 weeks.
Dry hop keg with 1 oz cascade and force carbonate.
