Bitterness: 18 IBU
OG: 1.065 FG: 1.018
Alcohol: 6.1% v/v (4.8% w/w)
Water: Bottled deer park spring water
Grain: 1 lb. British Pilsner
1 lb. American crystal 60L
1 lb. Rye (raw)
Steep: steeped all 3 granis at same time, brought temp up to boiling cut off and let sit for 5 mins (messed up, forgot to let temp sit between 160 -170)
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.141 3 gallons
3 lb. Light malt extract
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
3 lb. Amber dry malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (5.3% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (aroma)
Yeast: An edinburg strain acquired from local brew pub. BIG fermenter, blew over in less than 24 hours
Log: brewed 11/2, dryhopped with .5oz kent golding in fermenter 1 week in, will rack to secondary on 11/16 and add another .5oz kent goldings and 1 oz special secret hops ;). will let sit in secondary for about 1 month.
Carbonation: will add 3/4 cup corn sugar
