Hop Head IPA

This was my first attempt at an overhopped IPA. The wheat extract was used to give it an extra creamy head.

Beer: Hop Head IPA Style: India Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
12 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 81 IBU
OG: 1.058 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. British pale
1 lb. American crystal 20L
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.144 2 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. Wheat extract
Hops: 3 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
2 oz. Centennial (10.5% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Centennial (aroma)
Yeast: wyeast 1028 (london ale)
Log: Fermented at 68° for 7 days. Transferred to secondary and dry hopped for 3 days.
Carbonation: Force carbonated in corny keg.
Tasting: The aroma of this beer was unbelievable. However, the taste was much more bitter than anticipated.
