This is by far, my favorite ale recipe. Nice balance of hops and malt.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
11 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 43 IBU
OG: 1.059 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 6.0% v/v (4.7% w/w)
Water: Cold, hard tap water untreated
Grain: .5 lb. German Munich
.5 lb. British brown
Boil: 40 minutes SG 1.049 6 gallons
6.5 lb. Pale Extract
1 lb. Brown sugar
Irish Moss added in last 10 minutes of boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8% AA, 40 min.)
.42 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 20 min.)
.88 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 20 min.)
.88 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 10 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056 dry ale yeast
Log: This one needs at least 3 weeks in the fermenter at 60f.
Carbonation: Forced carbonation in the keg
Tasting: Great tasting IPA. Accurate to the style without being over powering.
