OG: 1.041 FG: 1.006
Alcohol: 4.5% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Water: filtered water only
boil sparge water and cool to 80Cel
Grain: 3.0kg American 2-row
250g Wheat malt
80g British crystal 50-60L
200g Flaked rice
Mash: 74% efficiency
protein rest @ 50Cel for 25MIN
Increase to 58Cel for 30 min
mash out at 65Cel
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.054 15 liters
250g Glucose Syrup
1.5 Tspn Irish moss last 15 min
Hops: 10g Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
30g Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
10g Willamette (5% AA, 30 min.)
10g Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
10g Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
10g Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Safale DCL S-04 dried yeast
Log: ferment @ 20Cel 5 Days. Dry hop 10g Williamette and 80g of Goldings
rack and rest for 3 days @ 20Cel.
1 Tspn Citric Acid to fermenter, pour wort over.
Carbonation: In the bottle using corn sugar
Tasting: Great tasting beer. Even the poms next door reckon it's better than home. Might need just a bit more flaked rice to increase the body a bit more. Easy to drink, excellent head retention and nice lace to the bottom of the glass. Great refreshing beer.
