Bitterness: 37 IBU
OG: 1.043 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 4.5% v/v (3.5% w/w)
Water: filtered water is a must, Chem adjust N/A. My water is medium soft
I boil sparge water and allow to cool to 80Cel
Grain: 3.5kg British lager
250g Wheat malt
300g British crystal 50-60L
Mash: 74% efficiency
protein rest @ 50Cel for 25 min
increase to 55Cel for 15 min
increase to 68cel for remaining time.
total mash time = 2 hours
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.063 15 liters
500g invert sugar
1.5 Teaspoons Irish moss
1 Teaspoon Citric Acid
Hops: 20g green bullet (8.0% AA, 60 min.)
20g Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
40g green bullet (8.0% AA, 15 min.)
40g green bullet (aroma)
Yeast: DCL Yeast
Safale S-04 Dried
Log: Ferment at 22Cel for 7 Days
Rack off for a further 5 Days adding 2 teaspoons gelatine finings 1 day befor bottling
Carbonation: carbonate in bottle using corn sugar
Tasting: excellent taste, fruity esters. I'm a hop head so it suits me. Allow to mature for 4 weeks. It does mellow alot more after several months, but still easy to drink
