7 lb. 8 oz. British pale
1 lb. 4 oz. American Munich
14 oz. American crystal 60L
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
8 oz. Roasted barley
8 oz. Barley Hulls
Mash: 72% efficiency
Mash at 150°F for 30 minutes, raise to 156°F
for 30 minutes. Mash out.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.048 10.5 gallons
15 min - 2 whirlfloc tabs
10 min - 1 pound of Heather in grain bag
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.3% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.3% AA, 20 min.)
1.2 oz. Hallertauer (4.1% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: 1400 ml starter of WL Edinburgh Ale
Log: Brewed 8-17-03 for entering Comps, and Lulu's party
Carbonation: Force Carbonate to 2.4 vol.
