Alcohol: 7.1% v/v (5.6% w/w)
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 120L
10 oz. American chocolate
4 oz. American black patent
4 oz. Roasted barley
1 lb. German Munich
Steep: add 1 lb munich dark to 1.5 gallons water in brewkettle. Bring water uo to 165. Steep remaining specialty grain plus 5 ounce toasted coconut for 30 minutes. Sparge with .5 gallon 170 degree water. 60 minute boil. Add 5 oz coconut to primary and 5 oz to secondary. At bottling add 2-3 oz good organic coconut extract.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.100 3.5 gallons
7 lb. Dark dry malt extract
1 lb organic, partially defatted (40%) coconut, toasted
2-3 oz coconut extract, alcohol based
Hops: 1 oz. Nugget (12% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: WLP051
