Brewed this for a wedding, with 5lbs
of fresh blue berries and 1# of corn sugar in the secondary.
with additional yeast. So tasty and easy to drink for 12%

OG: 1.093 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 10.5% v/v (8.2% w/w)
Grain: 8.5 lb. Belgian pale
.5 lb. Belgian CaraMunich
5 lb. Flaked wheat
Mash: 80% efficiency
single infusion >150
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.079 6.5 gallons
2 lb. blue berry pie filling
.5 lb. Brown sugar
1 lb brown suger can be susituted in place of one blue berry can.
For more flavor subsitute Bel candi syrup.
Hops: 1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: wyeast 1214
top crop or make additional starter for secondary
Log: with a good starter primary should be done in 10 days. secondary should be done in bucket for easy racking off the fruit, after about 14 days
frozen fruit can be used in secondary
Tasting: Good hearty fruit beer. Reminds me of sparkleing wine.
