A nice amber fairly bitter beer, if nothing like Anchor

Bitterness: 41 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.013
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Water: Savannah tap
Grain: 8 lb. American 2-row
1 lb. 4 oz. Belgian Munich
8 oz. American victory
8 oz. American crystal 40L
2 oz. American chocolate
Mash: 70% efficiency
60 min @ 154°F
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.044 6 gallons
IM at 15
Hops: 1.1 oz. Northern Brewer (7% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (7% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Northern Brewer (aroma)
Yeast: WLP029 German Ale yeast from kolsch cake
Log: 3 weeks in primary at 62F. Lagered at 38F for 3 weeks.
Carbonation: medium carbonation
Tasting: Darker, more bitter and roastier than Anchor and also not as "lager-like" smooth (well that's what you get using ale yeast). The hops seemed much more earthy than other N. Brewer beers I've tried - thinking that my LHBS may have had hop packet mislabelled. Still, a very nice beer and worthy of a redo with only change maybe using the San Fransisco Lager yeast.
