Tasty Hefe-Weizen

Simple yet tasty and high ABV! Yummy!

Beer: Tasty Hefe-Weizen Style: Weizen/Weissbier
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
4 HCU (~4 SRM)
Bitterness: 11 IBU
OG: 1.065 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 7.0% v/v (5.5% w/w)
Water: Spring water
Grain: 1 lb. Flaked wheat
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: 30 min while heating to 170
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.129 2.5 gallons
8 lb. Wheat extract
I used no clarifiers.
Hops: 1.5 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 1 min.)
Yeast: White Labs - American Hefeweizen Ale. Make a starter in 1000 ml vessel two days before pinch. 900 ml water, 1 cup DME, and pinch of nutrient mix.
Log: Pinch and ferment as usual.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar for bottling.
Tasting: Tasty!
