Belgian Moon

I did quite a bit of research for this Blue Moon clone attempt. I'll update with more notes when it's complete...

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
4 HCU (~4 SRM)
Bitterness: 18 IBU
OG: 1.048 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Water: Gypsum & Tap water
Grain: 5 lb. 2 oz. Belgian Pilsner
4 lb. 1 oz. Flaked wheat
8 oz. Flaked oats
Mash: 70% efficiency
Single Stage infusion mash:
- 3 gallons of water @ 185°
- Maintained 151° for 75 minutes
- Sparged with 4 gallons of 170° water
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.040 6 gallons
.75 oz. Coriander Seed (last 15 minutes of boil)
.75 oz. Sweet Orange Peel (last 15 minutes of boil)
.85 oz. Bitter Orange Peel (Curaocuao) (last 15 minutes of boil)
1/4 Teaspoon of Irish Moss for last 15 minutes
Hops: .5 oz. Saaz (3.9% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.9% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.9% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast: Belgian Witbier Yeast (#3944)
Log: Brewed on 6/9/2001...
Carbonation: 2.6 volumes Keg: 13.4 psi @ 40°F
