OG: 1.073 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 7.4% v/v (5.8% w/w)
Grain: 14 lb. American 2-row
10 lb. Wheat malt
1 lb. Belgian CaraMunich
1 lb. British crystal 70-80L
4 oz. American chocolate
1 lb. Flaked oats
Mash: 80% efficiency
Mash in @148 deg. for 15 min. Increase to 156 deg. for 60 min. Increase to 168 deg. for 15 min. Total Mash time 90 min.
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.062 13 gallons
Irish Moss added 1 Tbl. for last 20 min.
Aroma Hops added at flameout.
Hops: 1 oz. Columbus (15.5% AA, 90 min.)
1 oz. Amarillo (9.6% AA, 90 min.)
1 oz. Tettnanger (4.8% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Amarillo (9.6% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: Split batch into two 5.5 gallon containers.
Used Bavarian Wheat #3056, and American Wheat #1010
Log: Dry Hop with 1 oz. Tetnanger in secondary for 2 weeks.
Carbonation: Force Carbonation
