Honey Weizenbock

A great traditional German Weizenbock. Excellent Clove flavor and
aroma.

Bitterness: 20 IBU
OG: 1.073 FG: 1.011
Alcohol: 8.0% v/v (6.3% w/w)
Water: Started with 1 gal tap water and 4.5 gal distilled water.
Grain: 1 lb. Raw wheat
Steep: Steeped Wheat grain at 153-155°F for 60 min.
Boil: 60min minutes SG 1.066 5.5 gallons
6 lb. Wheat extract
2 lb. Honey
1 lb. Wheat DME
Hops: 0.8 oz. Ultra (3.8% AA, 60 min.)
1.0 oz. Ultra (3.8% AA, 30 min.)
.2 oz. Ultra (3.8% AA, 3 min.)
Yeast: WLP 300
Log: Fermented at 68-70°F
7 Days Primary
20 Days Secondary
Carbonation: 3 Days @ 25 lbs @ 40°F
Tasting: Strong. Definatly bock. Clove esters and aroma. Lightly hopped
