Another fine beer kit from Andy at Asheville Brewer's Supply.

25 HCU (~14 SRM)
Bitterness: 6 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 5.5% v/v (4.3% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American crystal 60L
Steep: Steep cracked grain one hour at just UNDER boiling in grain bag. Stir bag often to avoid sticking. Sparge and squeeze.
Boil: 40 minutes SG 1.141 2 gallons
6 lb. NW Weizen syrup malt extract
1 lb. NW Weizen dry malt extract
Hops: 1 oz. Tettnanger (4.8% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Hallertauer (aroma)
Yeast: WYEAST Liquid Bavarian Wheat #3056. Fresh!
Log: Brewed Nov. 2, 1997
Carbonation: Standard 3/4 cup corn sugar, boiled in 1 pint water for five minutes added to bottling bucket.
Tasting: May boil only 30 minutes next time to keep lighter color.
