Marzen v1.0

1st attempt at making a Lager. Wanted to celebrate the fact i nearly cut off my finger moving my new(really old and green) lagering refrigerator into my garage. Really wanted to keep it simple so that is why I used only Pilsner and Munich malts.

Brewer: MacDuff Email: -
Beer: Marzen v1.0 Style: Märzen/Oktoberfest
Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
10 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 25 IBU
OG: 1.054 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.4% v/v (4.2% w/w)
Water: Absolutly none, even though i probably should have.
Grain: 6 lb. German Pilsner
5 lb. German Munich
Mash: 65% efficiency
Single-infusion for 90min at 155°. Actually got really good extraction since my supplier gets really good Pilsner malt.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.041 6.5 gallons
Nothing used
Hops: 1.5 oz. Mt. Hood (4.5% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast Bavarian Lager Yeast, Smack Pack.
Log: Fermented at 45-48° for two weeks. Transfered to Secondary and lagered for 3 months at 34°.
Carbonation: 3/4 cup corn sugar. Bottled. I really need to invest in kegs.
Tasting: Just bottled it. Tasted absolutly terrific coming out of secondary. I might not Lager this long next time, but i will definatly brew this again.
