Our first lager!

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
7 HCU (~6 SRM)
Bitterness: 24 IBU
OG: 1.059 FG: 1.016
Alcohol: 5.6% v/v (4.4% w/w)
Water: 1 tsp of gypsum if you have soft water
Grain: 1 lb. German Munich
9 lb. German Vienna
Mash: 80% efficiency
add grain to 10 quarts of 130° F water, hold at 120°-124° for 30 min
add 5 quarts of 200° water, hold at 150°-158° for 60 min
mash out at 170° F
sparge with 5 gallons (20 quarts) of 170° water
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.046 6.5 gallons
add 1 tsp of Irish Moss when 10 minutes of boil remain
Hops: 1 oz. Spalt (6.75% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: White Labs WLP820 Oktoberfest/Marzen Lager Yeast
Carbonation: prime with 3/4 C corn sugar
