Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.060 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 5.9% v/v (4.6% w/w)
Water: Very soft water.
Grain: 1 lb. German Vienna
1 lb. German Munich
Steep: Steep specialty grains in 1.5 gallons water at 150°F for 30 minutes.
Boil: 45 minutes SG 1.119 3 gallons
4 lb. Light malt extract
4 lb. Light dry malt extract
Irish moss (last 15 minutes of boil).
Hops: 1 oz. Brewers Gold (8.0% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Brewers Gold (8.0% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: Lager yeast from local brewpub. (Thanks once again, Christian!)
Log: Ferment in plastic at 60°F. Rack to glass carboy, 4 weeks at 50°F.
Bottle and age at 40°F for 2 weeks.
