Pils A'Plenty

This was one of my earlier partial grain / extract batches. It took 10 weeks at 50° to reach an FG of 1.011. I probably could have squeezed i down to 1.010 if I had the patience... but once I took the reading and tasted it, I could wait no longer. Excellent brew!

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 6.5 gallons
Color:
9 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 34 IBU
OG: 1.041 FG: 1.011
Alcohol: 3.9% v/v (3.0% w/w)
Grain: 12 oz. Belgian biscuit
Steep: 1.5 Gallons of water
30 minutes at 150 to 155°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.089 3 gallons
4 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. 8 oz. Light dry malt extract
Add 1.5 Gallons of water
Stir in malts
Hops: 3.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 60 min.)
1.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 15 min.)
1.5 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 2124 Bohemian Pilsner
Pitched right after germination
Log: Brewed on May 9, 2000
Racked 5 gallons to carboy & aerated by agitation
Capped and placed in refridgerator at 50° for 10 weeks
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Keg: 17.6 psi @ 50°F
Force filtered, force carbonated by agitation
