Bitterness: 22 IBU
OG: 1.067 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 7.7% v/v (6.0% w/w)
Water: The water in Bothell WA is pretty clean, no chlorine taste, no 'alkaline' hardness...just super soft.
Grain: 8 oz. American crystal 60L
4 oz. American chocolate
1 oz. Flaked barley
Steep: Steeping in a typical 'sock' from the brew shop. Homebrew Heaven in Everett WA if you must know.
Boil: minutes SG 1.091 3.7 gallons
7 lb. Amber malt extract
1 lb. 8 oz. Brown sugar
Hops: 1.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer Mittelfruh (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: No starter, but using an Irish liquid yeast from a slap-pack.
