Just a light ale for summer time thirst quenching.Ran into slight delimma with wife wanting to do some unexpected running and ended up with a single infusion mash that lasted 5 hrs 10 mins.Worked out great for me and thats the way I will do it from now on.....

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
10 HCU (~7 SRM)
Bitterness: 19 IBU
OG: 1.051 FG: 1.045
Alcohol: 0.8% v/v (0.6% w/w)
Water: City water - soft water conditioned.
Grain: 5 lb. 0 oz. American 2-row
1 lb. 0 oz. Belgian pale
0 lb. 8 oz. Belgian Pilsner
1 lb. 0 oz. British pale
0 lb. 8 oz. British mild
0 lb. 8 oz. Belgian aromatic
0 lb. 8 oz. Belgian biscuit
0 lb. 8 oz. American crystal 10L
0 lb. 8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 60% efficiency
Strike water was 170 deg. Rest temp was 160 deg for 5 hrs 10 mins. Just wrapped up mash tun in several blankets - only 2 degree drop in temp!
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.057 4.5 gallons
1 lb. 0 oz. Corn sugar
Irish moss @ 5 mins.
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Repitch 2 qts from 2 separate previous batches(Nottingham was original yeast used)
Log: Take 2 qts gyle from pre-pitched wort (save in fridge for priming - strain before use)Primary for 8 days. Rack with 1/2 tsp gelatin. rack again after week. Cold crash on basement floor(50 degrees)for 2-3 more weeks.Added 1/2 gallon water to fermenter - OG actually came in at 1.062 and I didn't want it that high.
Carbonation: 1.5 qts gyle - strained
Tasting: Haven't tasted yet.....
