My first attempt at a Kolsch

Bitterness: 24 IBU
OG: 1.050 FG: 1.011
Alcohol: 5.0% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Grain: 1 lb. American Vienna
1 lb. German Pilsner
Steep: Steep the grains for 40 minutes at 150°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.083 3 gallons
2 lb. Light dry malt extract
3 lb. Wheat extract
Hops: 2 oz. Hallertauer (3.8% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (5.7% AA, 10 min.)
.5 oz. Tettnanger (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast Kolsch

Tasting: 3Mar06 - Tasted today. Very clean flavor, slightly malty with a nice, mild hop balance. A great lawn mower beer.
