Frogtoberfest

This is my U of M Tailgateing beer--GO BLUE!!! Revised to what I actually do. Note elimination of First Wort hopping and change in AA% in Hops.

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
14 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 26 IBU
OG: 1.065 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.1% w/w)
Water: Always preboil your water. Ill probubly add some CaCO2 to up the hardness without upping the sulphate (NO GYPSUM)
Grain: 7 lb. Durst Pilsner
3 lb. 12 oz. Durst Munich
4 oz. Carapils
4 oz. Wheat
4 oz. Durst Crystal 90
4 oz. Durst Crystal 20
3.25 oz. German Caramel
Mash: 72% efficiency
Im using all german Durst malts. Double pressurized decoction. 120F rest (thick decoction[ 20 min at 15psi] and heat to get to 152F) 152F for 45 min then 2nd decoction (Thin very little grain) add back plus heat or boiling water to get to 168F 10 min then sparge 60 min with 180F water.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.050 6.5 gallons
Irish moss,
Hops: .5 oz. Hallertau Hersb (3.2% AA, 45 min.)
.3 oz. Saaz (3% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Hallertau Hersb (3.2% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Saaz (3% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (3% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast Bavarian (2206) Smack pack steped once) Should do twice though...
Log: brew date 7/29
Carbonation: Force carbonate to 2.7 ATM for bottling 2.6 for draft
