Lager Mit Kaffe

Trying to get a dark lager with distinct (but not overpowering) coffee flavor.

Type: Extract w/grain Size: 6.0 gallons
Color:
21 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 22 IBU
OG: 1.042 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 4.2% v/v (3.3% w/w)
Water: none
Grain: 8 oz. German Munich
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
8 oz. Franco-Belges Kiln Coffee Malt
Steep: Steep grains until water starts first bubbles
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.063 4.0 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
4 oz. Light dry malt extract
boil will use 4 gals water
add LME in last 15 min
2 teaspoons Irish Moss in last 20 min
Hops: .5 oz. Northern Brewer (10.0% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Hallertauer Tradition (4.2% AA, 30 min.)
.25 oz. Perle (7.1% AA, 30 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast #5829 MHBS Lager (or use Wyeast's 2206 Bavarian lager yeast)
Log: add enough water to primary to bring total to 6.0 gals
primary @ 70° for 7-10 days
secondary @ 38° for 8 weeks
Carbonation: 2.7 volumes Keg: 11.7 psi @ 35°F
Dried Malt Extract: 2.74 oz. for 2.5 gallons @ 38°F
Will be bottling half the total batch and kegging the other half.
Using Muntons Carb Tabs for bottling (3 tabs each bottle)
Tasting: Anticipate losing approx 1 gal due to trub and blowoff. Will edit this section after I've tasted the brew in November :)
