spring pilsener

making this on 4/17/04. if i make it then it should be ready by june. this will be a great beer for after i do yard work.

Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
6 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 35 IBU
OG: 1.060 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 5.8% v/v (4.6% w/w)
Water: we have great water here at the sterling brewery so maybe a touch of bicarb, to soften the water a bit.
Grain: 10 lb. British pale
.5 lb. German Munich
.5 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
1 lb. Flaked barley
Mash: 74% efficiency
mash in at 135degr. an hold at 122degr. for 20mins.raise to152degr. until convertion.
Boil: 70 minutes SG 1.055 6 gallons
irish moss at 20 mins left on boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 60 min.)
1.5 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Saaz (3.75% AA, 30 min.)
1.5 oz. Saaz (aroma)
Yeast: white labs lager yeast
