Alcohol: 5.2% v/v (4.1% w/w)
Grain: 8 lb. American 2-row
4 oz. American chocolate
4 oz. American black patent
1 lb. American crystal 60L
Mash: 80% efficiency
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.037 7.5 gallons
Hops: 1 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056
Log: Mash high for more body. I have mashed this recipe at 154F to 157F and been very happy with the beer. Leave in primary for a week or ten days, then bottle.
Carbonation: Save off two quarts of gyle to prime the bottles with. At bottling, prime with 1.2 quarts of gyle according to Papazian's formula.
