Pete's Wicked Ale (The Real Thing)

Pete's Brewing Company (when their web page was up) used to profile
each of their beers, giving the ingredients and vital statistics.
This recipe was developed using that information.

Type: All grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
42 HCU (~19 SRM)
Bitterness: 29 IBU
OG: 1.053 FG: 1.013
Alcohol: 5.1% v/v (4.0% w/w)
Grain: .55 lb. British Carastan
.5 lb. American chocolate
8 lb. American 2-row
Mash: 80% efficiency
Boil: 65 minutes SG 1.044 6 gallons
Boil vigorously to produce full body.
Steep for 15 minutes.
Hops: .88 oz. Brewers Gold (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.88 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 1 min.)
.88 oz. Brewers Gold (8.5% AA, 1 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1056
Tasting: I have not brewed this recipe because I can only use malt extract for
base malt,(I brew at a BYO).
I would be very interested and appreciative of hearing from anyone
who tries this recipe. It should be very close to the real thing.
