Flippen Brown Ale #13B (Brooklyn Clone)

I went to the Brooklyn Brewery, in Brooklyn NY, and fell in love with the "Brooklyn Brown Ale" at the source!!! This is my version of that lovely brown ale!

Beer: Flippen Brown Ale #13B (Brooklyn Clone) Style: American Brown
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
61 HCU (~25 SRM)
Bitterness: 19 IBU
OG: 1.061 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 6.6% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Grain: 6 oz. Belgian biscuit
12 oz. American crystal 60L
8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
8 oz. British chocolate
Steep: Heat 1.5 gal. water to 170° and add specialty grains and steep for 60 minutes at 150°. Sparge with 1 gal. of water at 170°.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.134 2.5 gallons
6 lb. Extra Light dry malt extract
1 lb. Wheat extract
Add 1 tsp. Irish Moss at 45 minutes
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. East Kent Goldings (4.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (aroma)
.5 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: In this version I used White Labs Platnium Series Bedford British Ale Yeast #WLP006.
Carbonation: Prime with 5 oz. corn sugar
