Water: 7 gallons of cool tap water from
the Rocky Mountains
Grain: 2 oz. Belgian CaraVienne
2 oz. Belgian Special B
4 oz. British chocolate
8 oz. Rolled oats
Steep: Steeped grains and rolled oats starting
at 100° until reaching 160°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.036 7 gallons
3 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Amber malt extract
8 oz. Brown sugar
12 oz. Honey
1 tsp. Irish Moss - Last 15 Min
Hops: 0.5 oz. Perle (6.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Perle (6.5% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: #1187 Ringwood Ale Yeast
Carbonation: Bottle a 12 pack using 3 prime-tabs each
then kegged the rest... applied 30 psi
for 36 hours, released pressure to
5 psi for dispensing
