Bitterness: 22 IBU
OG: 1.067 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 6.7% v/v (5.2% w/w)
Water: boiled city tap water before mashing and sparging
Grain: 18 lb. British pale
2 lb. Belgian biscuit
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
1 lb. British crystal 50-60L
8 oz. American chocolate
Mash: 80% efficiency
infusion mash - 154F for 60 minutes. Continuous sparge to 12 gallons.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.056 12 gallons
irish moss last 5 mins - rehydrated
Hops: 2 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: english or irish ale yeast - dry yeast I used nottingham
Carbonation: carbonate using co2 - low carbonation is typical
Tasting: pretty darn good english nut brown.
