Blackstrap Delight

Coopers Real Ale Malt extract used as the base.
This is pre-hoped amber malt from Austrailia.
One bottle (16 oz.) blackstrap molassas used for
flavor and color.

Color:
11 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 0 IBU
OG: 1.037 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 3.5% v/v (2.7% w/w)
Water: Arrowhead Spring water used. No treatment.
Grain: 8 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Steep: Two quarts water boiled and then removed from heat.
Grain added and steeped for 25 to 30 minutes.
Lightly sparged with hot water.
Boil: 80 minutes SG 1.074 2.5 gallons
16 oz. Molasses
4 lb. Amber malt extract
Hops: .5 oz. Fugles (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast 1098 used.
Repitched from secondary of last batch.
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Corn Sugar: 4.22 oz. for 4.8 gallons @ 68°F
