Bitterness: 58 IBU
OG: 1.057 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 5.8% v/v (4.5% w/w)
Water: All h2o was boiled prior to use.
Grain: 8 lb. British pale
4 oz. American victory
1 lb. Belgian biscuit
12 oz. American crystal 60L
1 lb. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Mash: 70% efficiency
I used 14 qts of 168 degree water for mash.
I added 2 tsp of gypsum.
Mash temp was 154 degrees.
This was a single stage mash process.
The mash sat overnight in insulated box.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.044 6.5 gallons
1 tsp of Irish Moss.
Hops: 2 oz. Willamette (5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: 1 pkg of Nottingham(11g) in 1 qt of starter.
