Blackpool Bitters

61 HCU (~25 SRM)
Bitterness: 50 IBU
OG: 1.063 FG: 1.024
Alcohol: 5.0% v/v (3.9% w/w)
Grain: 5 oz. Briess crystal 20L
8 oz. Munton crystal 60L
10 oz. Dingeman chocolate
Steep: Crush and steep in .5 gallons of 150° water for 20 minutes.
Strain into brew pot and sparge grains with .5 gallons of 150° water.
Add water to brew pot for 1.5 gallons.
Bring to a boil.
Remove from heat and add water to bring volume up to 2.5 gallons.
Add Pale Malt Extract and Styrain Golding Hops.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.063 5 gallons
8 lb. Alexander's Pale Malt Extract
Hops: 2 oz. Styrian Goldings (5.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
0.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 10 min.)
0.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: White Labs Premium Bitter
Carbonation: 1.25 cups Extra-light DME in 1 cup of boiled water
