Alcohol: 6.2% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Grain: 9 oz. American crystal 60L
7 oz. Dextrine malt (Cara-Pils)
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.145 2 gallons
7.5 lb. Light malt extract
Hops: 1.75 oz. Perle (8% AA, 60 min.)
.25 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Perle (8% AA, 15 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: WLP001
Log: Dry hopped with 1oz Cascade. Split batch off to 1 gal Beano beer, Beano added after primary fermentation, fermentation began a day later again.
Tasting: Not very close to SNPA, but great anyway. Very strong apricot flavors, especially with age. Residual sweetness, not very bitter. Beano beer turned out very good as well, but left the tongue feeling dry.
