Iowa Liberty Pale Ale #14

This recipie is a clone of Anchor Liberty Pale Ale. I did this batch in honor of Fritz Maytag on "Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day 2002" in Iowa.

12 HCU (~8 SRM)
Bitterness: 47 IBU
OG: 1.059 FG: 1.010
Alcohol: 6.3% v/v (4.9% w/w)
Grain: 12 oz. American crystal 20L
Steep: Steep grain at 150° for 45 minutes and sparge with 1 gal. water at 170°
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.129 2.5 gallons
6 lb. Light malt extract
2 lb. Extra Light dry malt extract
Add Irish Moss at 45 minutes
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 60 min.)
1.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 45 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: White Labs WLP001 California Ale Yeast
Carbonation: 5 oz. corn sugar at botteling
