I've long envisioned a devil-worshipping tribute to one of my all time favorites: Hop Devil

Beer: The Mind's Eye PA Style: India Pale Ale
Type: All grain Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
16 HCU (~10 SRM)
Bitterness: 70 IBU
OG: 1.066 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.7% v/v (5.3% w/w)
Water: Tap water with 1 TBS 5.2 stabilizer and 2 tsp gypsum.
Grain: 10 lb. German Pilsner
8 oz. German Munich
10 oz. Belgian CaraMunich
1 lb. Belgian CaraVienne
Mash: 80% efficiency
1.2 quarts per pound at 169°F for a mash temp of 155°F. Hold for 60 min. Pull 5 quart decoction and add to 4 quarts boiling water. Heat to boil then reintroduce to mash for a mash out temp of 160-165°F. Continuous sparge with 175°F water to collect 6.5 gallons in brewpot.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.056 6.5 gallons
Hops: .5 oz. Cascade (5.5% AA, 60 min.)
1.5 oz. Centennial (9.1% AA, 60 min.)
.5 oz. Centennial (9.1% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (5.5% AA, 15 min.)
.5 oz. Cascade (whole leaf) (aroma)
Yeast: Any of the following in a 1 quart starter:

White Labs 001
or
Wyeast 1056
or
Safale US-05 (I used this one from a previous brew)
Log: Primary at 71°F for 7-10 days, secondary at 71°F for 14 days.
