Type: All grain Size: 23.4 liters
Color:
20 HCU (~12 SRM)
Bitterness: 41 IBU
OG: 1.071 FG: 1.013
Alcohol: 7.5% v/v (5.9% w/w)
Water: No Water Treatment
Grain: 5.5kg Muntons Maris Otter or Weyerman Pale Ale Malt (3°L)
300g Muntons Amber Malt or Weyerman Caraamber (22°L)
200g Muntons Medium Crystal Malt or Weyerman Caramunich III (?) (90°L)
30g Roasted Barley (520°L)
Mash: 88% efficiency
Bigan Mash at 55°C and raised the temp to Mash at 67°C for 45 Minutes. Raise Temp agian to 74°C for 15 minute. mash out.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.056 29.8 liters
Irish Moss at 15 minutes
Hops: 60g Fuggles (4.2% AA, 60 min.)
60g Kent Goldings (5.6% AA, 15 min.)
30g Willamette (5% AA, 5 min.)
Yeast: Fermentis S-04 or Danstar Notingham (English Ale Yeast)
Will be using S-04 for this one.
Log: Must crush grian very fine for BIAB method!
**good job on the crushing. efficiency exceeded expectations by far!
Brewed on 07/MAY/2010. cooled using No-Chill. Transfered to fermentation on Sunday 9/MAY/2010
Fermented for 7 days at apx. 21-22°C.
FG = 1013
Bottled (16/05/2010) 9 liters only as half the batch was drained due to contamination.
Carbonation: 2.3 volumes Corn Sugar: 121g for 21 liters @ 20°C
this batch has been devided into 2 fermentors.
Use 60 gr of Corn Sugar for each half batch.
