"Give Me Liberty or Give Me Macrobeer!"

This is to be an Anchor Liberty Ale Clone... or something close anyways.

Type: Partial mash Size: 5.5 gallons
Color:
14 HCU (~9 SRM)
Bitterness: 62 IBU
OG: 1.051 FG: 1.013
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Grain: .5 lb. American victory
.5 lb. American crystal 40L
Mash: 60% efficiency
Did a partial mash by heating 2 quarts of water to 175 degrees. Moved water to a cold pot and mashed in grains (at 164 degrees. Mashed for 45 mins at temps of 150-156 degrees. Drained off initial runnings and grain through a grain bag into the boil kettle and then sparged with two quarts of 170 degree water through the grain bag.. Drained second runnings into boil kettle. This is not a perfect way to do a mash, but it worked.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.047 6 gallons
7.0 lb. Light malt extract
1 tsp Irish Moss 15 minutes before the end of the boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Centennial (9.5% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (5.8% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: Wyeast 1968 London Ale in 32 oz starter.
Log: Racked into primary - plastic bucket- on 3/18/2007.
Racked into secondary - Glass carboy- on 3/29/2007
Kegged on 4/4/2007 FG 1.013 - Dry Hopped with 1 oz Whole Hop Cascade
