Tribute to Stone Brewery

This is a great recipe if you like Stone Brewery's Arrogant Bastard Ale. It might be a little to hoppy for some but don't be scared, give it a try.

Beer: Tribute to Stone Brewery Style: India Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
24 HCU (~13 SRM)
Bitterness: 194 IBU
OG: 1.071 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 7.6% v/v (6.0% w/w)
Water: Chico water and thats it.
Grain: 1 lb. Biscuit
1 lb. American crystal 20L
1 lb. Gambrinus Honey Malt
Steep: Did a partial mash of all the grains used grain @ 150*F for 30 minutes. Mashed out at 168*F and steeped in 170*f wort.
Boil: 75 minutes SG 1.051 7 gallons
5.86 lb. Amber malt extract
2 lb. Light dry malt extract
8 oz. Corn sugar
1 tsp. Irish Moss
Hops: 1 oz. Colombus (15.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (13.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Colombus (15.5% AA, 45 min.)
1 oz. Chinook (13.5% AA, 30 min.)
1 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 15 min.)
2 oz. Cascade (aroma)
Yeast: American Ale 1(Chico Strain) 1056 liquid
Log: Primary 7 days at 65*f.
Transfered to secondary carboy. 2oz. Casacade hops for dry hopping.
Secondary 14 days at 32*F
Carbonation: 2.5 volumes Keg: 7.2 psi @ 30°F
Tasting: Came out a little dark for an IPA but it tastes great, and it has a awesome aroma.
