OG: 1.063 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 6.5% v/v (5.1% w/w)
Water: 1/2 tsp gypsum in mash water approx. 3.5 gal.
Grain: 11 lb. British pale
Mash: 75% efficiency
On stove mashing bring water to 125° add grains and hold @
122° for 30 min.
148° for 30 min.
158° for 30 min.
168° for 10 min sparge with 4.5 gal, of 170° 1/2 tsp gypsum water
Boil: 90 minutes SG 1.052 6 gallons
boil 1/2 hour before adding 1st hops for 45 min,add second hops with 1 tsp Irish moss for 13 min.add 3rd hop for 7 min.Cool down to 70°-75° and pitch
Hops: 1.25 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 60 min.)
1.25 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 60 min.)
.50 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
.50 oz. Kent Goldings (5% AA, 30 min.)
.50 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: english ale in 1 quart starter
Log: 1 week 1st fermenting plastic rack to glass 1+ weeks untill it stops fermenting. Bottle
Carbonation: I use 1 ounce corn sugar per gallon dissolved in water
Tasting: This is good
