Not-for-sale Pale

Actually an Australian pale ale, but there's no such category here!
This is a clone of Coopers Original Pale Ale.

Type: Partial mash Size: 23 liters
Color:
5 HCU (~5 SRM)
Bitterness: 23 IBU
OG: 1.046 FG: 1.008
Alcohol: 4.9% v/v (3.8% w/w)
Water: 1 tsp gypsum
Grain: 1.5kg British pale
400g Wheat malt
300g Flaked barley
Mash: 75% efficiency
60 minutes @ 67c
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.070 15 liters
1.5kg Light malt extract
200g Cane sugar
1/2 Whirlfloc @ 15 minutes
Hops: 25g Pride of Ringwood (10% AA, 60 min.)
Yeast: Safale S-04 and Coopers dry yeast.
(Starter from a Coopers bottle failed)
Log: 7 days primary, 7 days secondary
22-25c
Carbonation: Bulk primed 160g dextrose. Bottled.
Tasting: Rough at first, but smoothed out nicely. Bitterness just right. Next time we'll include a little crystal for extra body and flavour.
