Decided to do a British Pale rather than an APA for a change...

Beer: Bass-alike Style: English Pale Ale
Type: Extract w/grain Size: 5 gallons
Color:
24 HCU (~13 SRM)
Bitterness: 27 IBU
OG: 1.071 FG: 1.012
Alcohol: 7.6% v/v (6.0% w/w)
Water: Used Central Pennsylvania Spring Water in the boil -- Distilled water to top off the carboy.
Grain: 1 lb. British crystal 50-60L
Steep: Steeped grain at approximately 160°f for 30 minutes. Sparged by dunking & squeezing.
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.118 3 gallons
8 lb. Light malt extract
1 lb. Brown sugar
Added a little over 1 tsp Irish Moss at 20 minutes left in boil.
Hops: 1 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 30 min.)
0.5 oz. Fuggles (4.75% AA, 15 min.)
0.5 oz. Fuggles (aroma)
Yeast: 1 "Pitchable Tube" of Wyeast 1098 British Ale
Log: The liquid malt extract is two 4lb cans of Alexander's Sun Country Pale.
Carbonation: 5 oz Corn Sugar at bottling time.
Tasting: Brewed it on 7/14/01. Should be good.
