Type: All grain Size: 3 gallons
Color:
99 HCU (~35 SRM)
Bitterness: 57 IBU
OG: 1.067 FG: 1.014
Alcohol: 6.9% v/v (5.4% w/w)
Water: Tacoma water with 5.2 added to the mash.
Mash 2.5 Gallons, Sparge 3 Gallons
Grain: 6 lb. American 2-row
.5 lb. British brown
.5 lb. British crystal 135-165L
.5 lb. American chocolate
Mash: 75% efficiency
Infusion 152 degrees for 60 minutes, mash out 168 degrees for 15 minutes
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.050 4 gallons
15 minute pre-boil then add whole hops using the following schedule
Hops: .6 oz. Chinook (12% AA, 60 min.)
.4 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
.4 oz. Hallertauer (4.25% AA, 15 min.)
Yeast: White Labs Dry English Ale (007).
I am using this because I will recapture some for use in my next batch of Kosmo IPA
(which you really should try if you like big IPAs)
Carbonation: Kegged and forced CO2 (9 lbs)
