OG: 1.082 FG: 1.015
Alcohol: 8.6% v/v (6.7% w/w)
Water: down home spring water straight from the spring house
Grain: 4 oz. British chocolate
2 oz. British black patent
2 oz. Roasted barley
Steep: steeped all grains in a bag for 45 min at 150 degrees
Boil: 60 minutes SG 1.075 6.5 gallons
6.0 lb. Amber malt extract
3 lb. Light dry malt extract
3.0 lb. Honey
irish moss at the last 15 min. also 1.5 lbs at 30 min and 1.5lbs at 15 min of honey
Hops: 1.0 oz. Northern Brewer (8.5% AA, 60 min.)
1.0 oz. Cascade (6% AA, 30 min.)
.5 oz. Willamette (aroma)
Yeast: Wyeast #1028
Carbonation: bottle condition started with half cup priming sugar and half cup honey.
Tasting: sweet with a great aroma and slight bitter after taste
